Approved unto God

II Timothy 2:15 KJV
15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

The word 'approved' is 'dokimos' in Greek. It is used 7 times in the New Testament. According to Kittel: Theological Dictionary of The New Testament, this word means reliable, esteemed, valuable.
